PodNote

PodNote is a product experiment built around a practical problem in Chinese podcast listening.

Many valuable Chinese podcast resources still live primarily inside mobile apps. The web experience is often weak: it is hard to play episodes comfortably, follow the spoken content, and turn what you hear into reusable notes.

Problem

Podcast listening is rich but difficult to organize. A good episode may contain many useful ideas, yet those ideas often disappear after listening because they are trapped inside audio.

For Chinese content, the problem is even more specific. Many episodes do not have a good web player, and listeners often need a better way to follow the language in real time.

What it does

PodNote creates a cleaner web listening experience for podcast episodes. As the episode plays, the transcript scrolls with the current spoken content, making it easier to follow what is being said.

It can also turn an episode into a structured document: main ideas, useful points, and a more organized version of the content for later review.

Why it matters

The goal is not only transcription. The goal is to help audio become knowledge.

PodNote is an experiment in making long-form listening more searchable, reviewable, and useful for people who treat podcasts as part of their learning system.
